Chef Robin came from humble beginnings, but with a fascination for kitchen operations and a sharp palate, he possessed all the essential traits of a good chef.

Following his graduation from SHATEC, Robin joined the award-winning Les Amis Restaurant at Shaw Center and worked under the tutelage of Chef Justin Quek. Chef Robin went on to apprentice in some of the most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in the world including Le Gavroche and Chez Bruce in London, Chez Lamenoise in France, as well as Becasse in Sydney, Australia.

He then took up a Certificate in Baking Science & Technology with the US Wheat Federation, before joining Au Petit Salut as a baker for a year. He then re-joined the Les Amis Group to assist with the opening of their new restaurant - Au Jardin before taking up the role of Chef de Cuisine at The Marmalade Pantry. Within the next 12 years later, Chef Robin rose through the ranks to become the Group Executive Chef of The Marmalade Pantry, Toast and Pierside Restaurant and Bar.

Chef Robin’s has been nominated as the Rising Chef of the Year at the World Gourmet Summit’s Awards of Excellence 2001 and 2002. He also works with Unilever Food Solutions, endorsing their products, and has appeared as a guest chef on Mediacorp’s reality television show - ‘Love on a Plate 2’.
