A Chartered Accountant by training, Yuan Oeij left a successful career in the fund management industry to pursue his love for good food. 

He started off as a Chef For Hire before opening the first Privé outlet at Marina At Keppel Bay in 2007. Four additional Privé outlets followed and the multi-brand The Privé Group soon counted Chinese restaurant – EMPRESS, seafood restaurant – Bayswater Kitchen, garden bar – The Green Door, intimate French grill – Privé Grill as well as nightspots – Bang Bang & Lulu’s Lounge as part of its ever expanding repertoire.

With an eye on the future, Yuan, who was one of the 2010 honorees of the Spirit of Enterprise Awards, has plans to grow the Privé brand both locally and regionally, as well as introduce new mass market brands that will position the Group as a frontrunner in Singapore’s burgeoning F&B sector. Most recently, Yuan was featured on the covers of prominent local publications:
